JAI 111 Just add a sketch

Are you confused? Seeing blue? When you saw red?? Yep that's right, this week I have not just one, but two cards for you!!

I try as much as possible to make cards for the kids to take to the birthday's they are invited too. So this week I used our Just Add Ink challenge - to Just Add a Sketch, to make not just one but two. For once I'll be ahead of the game! Here's the sketch.

What's your fav? The blue or the red?
Close up of the red

And of course - the inside - ta da ;)

I always find boy cards tricky - trying to get that balance between not being too plain but not adding so many extra embellishments that it ends up a girl card! So to deal with that I added in lots of texture. The embossed foil sheet looks awesome embossed with the chevron folder and the tire track background and car are all heat embossed to add some dimension and shine. If you looks closely you'll see a little peep of some chevron ribbon too!

I still have one these stashed away ready for the next birthday invite :)

Hope you can join us this week. Do check out the rest of the DT for lots of fabulous sketch inspiration.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
